As the age of reasoning begin starting to fade away, a new era slowly merging in to the society. This new era encouraged individualism, subjectivism, irrationalism, imagination, emotion, and nature. Instead of valuing the society based on logic and reasoning, the new era promoted imagination. Lending more towards the spiritual side, this time period was known as the romanticism era. Multiple art work were created in this time period, authors and painters expressed their emotion and feeling through paints and books. The painting, Cupid and Psyche, 1817, is a portrayal of the freedom of emotion and individualism allowed at the time. This opposition of the neo-classical era influenced multiple young people at the time, they value their feeling about love more than money and position within the society. Romanticism era was the opposite of the previous era, age of reasoning, society changed and revolt based on new ideas.
